"How To" series: Difference between group's "Feed" vs. "Discussions" posts
This is a technical type of a thread in this group.
Please, pay attention to the main site’s prompt “Share what’s on your mind…“:
1. If you are on the home page, you are posting into the c “Feed’- will become visible directly from the main page.
2. If you “loaded” a particular group, you will post your “Share what’s on you mind…” into the main “Feed” of that particular group only. That means that you are JUST sharing something of interest to you and something that you want to draw the attention of others.
3. IF the goal of your “Sharing…” post is to seek/prompt for a discussion (such as when you want “some answers” ), you need to be at the “Discussion” tab of the particular group and rather click the “New Discussion” BUTTON, thus creating a forum’s thread, dedicated to your post.
(Importantly , please (!!!), don’t be bashful about starting the discussion threads, as oppose to just “sharing” – there is no “expert” who has nothing to learn about!)NOTE: In either of the above scenarios for your post, users will always be able to comment on your “sharing”.
